Can Presence NEMT take someone to physical therapy two or three times a week?
Yes. Recurring therapy schedules are one of the most common trips we set up. You give us the days, the times and the clinic once, and the same standing schedule carries through the course of treatment.
What if the patient uses a wheelchair, a walker or needs help getting in the door?
Our drivers assist door through door, secure mobility equipment and allow time for slow transfers. Wheelchair-accessible vans, bariatric equipment and BRODA / Traversa positioning chairs are part of our fleet.
Who arranges the ride?
Patients, family members, therapy clinics, nurse case managers, discharge planners and claims professionals all use the same local Dallas-Fort Worth dispatch line, by call or text.
Therapy Only Works If the Patient Actually Gets There
Presence NEMT provides transportation to outpatient rehabilitation, physical therapy and occupational therapy across Fort Worth, Dallas and surrounding DFW communities. Recovery after a stroke, joint replacement, fracture or extended hospital stay depends on attendance, and attendance depends on a ride that shows up.
Therapy schedules are usually two or three times a week for several weeks. We set those up as a standing schedule so the patient, the family and the clinic all know the pickup time without renegotiating it every session.

Support for Patients Mid-Recovery
Patients in rehabilitation are often at their least stable: new hardware, weight-bearing restrictions, a walker they are still learning, and fatigue from the session itself. Our drivers assist door-through-door, secure mobility equipment, and allow time for slow transfers instead of rushing.
Wheelchair-accessible vans, bariatric equipment and BRODA / Traversa transport chairs are available, and a CNA, MA, or Nurse escort can be requested when a patient needs supervision during transport.
How a Standing Therapy Schedule Gets Set Up
- Tell us the clinic, the days of the week and the appointment times
- Tell us the pickup address and how the patient moves — walking with help, walker, wheelchair, or a wider or reclined chair
- Tell us whether the return trip is right after the session or later in the day
- Tell us who should be contacted about changes: the patient, a family member, the clinic, a case manager or a claims professional
- We confirm what we can cover before anything is scheduled, then the same schedule repeats
Work Injuries, Case Managers and Coordinated Recovery
A large share of therapy transportation is tied to an injury someone else is coordinating. Nurse case managers, care coordinators, adjusters, employers and law firms often arrange rides so an injured person can complete a full course of therapy rather than dropping out of treatment.
We work as the transportation piece of that plan only. Clinical decisions about therapy frequency, restrictions and readiness stay with the treating clinicians and the care team.
When a Ride Is Not the Right Answer
Presence NEMT is non-emergency medical transportation. It is not an ambulance service. If someone has chest pain, trouble breathing, a suspected stroke, uncontrolled bleeding or another emergency, call 911.
