Trust & safety
You are handing us someone you love. Here is exactly who we are, what we do, what we will not pretend to do, and how we handle what you tell us.
Who you are actually dealing with
Presence NEMT is nurse-owned and operated by Stephen and Melissa House, who bring more than 40 years of combined experience in nursing and advanced practice care. That background shapes how trips are planned: how much time a transfer really takes, what a passenger looks like when they are having a hard day, and why a rushed pickup is a safety problem rather than an efficiency win.
Dispatch is local to Dallas-Fort Worth. When you call, you are talking to the people who arrange the trip, not a national call centre routing a ticket.
What we do, stated plainly
We provide scheduled, non-emergency transportation to and from healthcare for passengers who are stable: appointments, treatment series, procedures, discharges and facility transfers. Assistance is hands-on and door-to-door where the building and the passenger allow it.
- Ambulatory, wheelchair and bariatric transportation
- BRODA / Traversa reclined stretcher-alternative and higher-support trips
- Recurring dialysis, oncology, infusion and therapy schedules
- Hospital discharge and facility-to-facility transfers
- Companion and escort support where available, arranged in advance
What we do not do
Presence NEMT is not an emergency ambulance service and does not provide clinical care en route. Call 911 in an emergency.
We do not provide clinical care during transport. Our team does not administer medication, manage oxygen, airways or feeding tubes, monitor vital signs, or transport ventilator-dependent passengers. Passengers who travel with their own stable, self-managed portable oxygen are welcome; anything requiring active clinical management needs a higher level of transport than NEMT.
How we talk about ourselves
Everything on this website is meant to be verifiable. Presence does not imply or represent affiliations, contracts, certifications, payment arrangements or partnerships unless verified, does not publish review counts, fleet sizes or response-time guarantees, and would rather tell you we cannot cover a trip than take a booking we cannot honour.
If you ever find something on this site that reads as a claim we have not earned, tell us and it comes down.
Privacy and the information you give us
A trip request needs practical details: who is travelling, pickup and destination, timing, how the passenger moves and how to reach you. That information is used to arrange and confirm transportation.
Health details are not required to book, and we do not send passenger names, contact details, addresses or health information into analytics or advertising tools. Measurement on this site counts anonymous actions — a call tap, a form submission, a page view — not the people behind them.
When plans change
Discharges run late, procedures run long, and passengers have days where the trip is harder than expected. Tell dispatch as early as you can and we adjust the plan rather than leaving someone waiting without an answer. Recurring schedules can be paused, shifted or changed as a passenger's needs change.
